Master program

The Faculty of Economics of the Heinrich-Heine University in Dusseldorf offers since the winter semester 2009/2010 the accredited study program in Business Administration with the degree "Master of Science (M.Sc.)".

This is a full-time study with a standard study period of four semesters, which builds upon the  Bachelor's study program in Business Administration. A more research-oriented basic orientation, students should learn in the Master program to analyze complex economic problems independently and responsibly and to cope with scientific methods.

Admission Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree (with atleast an average grade of 2.3 per Article 1 Sentence 1 No.1 of "Ordnung zur Änderung der Ordnung f. d. Feststellung der besonderen Eignung gemäß § 49 Absatz 7 HG f. d. Masterstudiengang Betriebswirtschaftslehre mit dem Abschluss „Master of Science“ an der Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf vom 29.04.2014" in an accredited undergraduate studies (at least 180 ECTS credits)

If the Bachelor program has not been completed, an application is still possible, if at least 75% of the credits of the Bachelor's degree are acquired. In place of the overall average grade delivers the calculated from the Examination Office and certified preliminary average grade of the previously examinations taken in this case.

In addition, the determination of the particular suitability to the Master Program (Aptitude order, see.) Is applied for. Here, the following conditions are particularly met:

Buisness [i.d.R. at least 60 ECTS points]

Economic [i.d.R. at least 20 ECTS points]

Statistical methodology [i.d.R. at least 10 ECTS points]

Since the winter semester 2014/2015 you can, under certain conditions, have an major on your Master 's degree. In this framework, the examination regulations defines:

"Does a a candidate graduated successful three elective modules (including voluntary additional modules) of a priority area listed in the Annex and successfully processed the dissertation from the corresponding area of focus, may have, upon written request of the candidate / the candidates to the examination board of the Faculty of Economics, that his major is shown on the certificate. If the selection of elective modules emphasis that more than one major is possible, the candidate must choose during the application process which major he will take .
