Herzlich Willkommen an der HHU

Erstsemester Winter 25/26

(For the English version, see below.)

Hallo liebe Erstis,

Hello, dear freshmen!

You have been waiting a long time for this, and now the time has finally come for you to begin your studies!

Even before the official start of the semester, the WiWi student council is organising events on campus to help you settle in and get started with your economics studies at HHU.

You can find a map of the campus here. From 8 to 10 October, the Faculty of Economics will be holding subject-specific events. These will begin on 8 October at 1 pm with a welcome from the student council in Lecture Hall 16.12. During this event, you will activate your university account and internet access, create your timetable, learn about modules, and have the opportunity to network with your fellow students. Please bring a laptop and/or tablet with you. Afterwards, there will be a get-together on campus.

On 9 October, you will meet at 1 p.m. for the campus rally, during which you will explore the campus, from the cafeteria to the lecture halls and the library. The meeting point for this is Lecture Hall 16.12 again. You will not need any devices on this day, so it is best to come without a car. On 10 October, the final day of Freshers' Week, there will be a rally award ceremony and other exciting and informative events.

Remember to carry your enrollment certificate and your HHU card (if available) with you throughout Freshmen's Week! We recommend that you do not bring your car onto campus. The university canteen is open for meals. However, we recommend that you bring your own food and water. Please make a note in your diary for the Faculty of Economics' official welcome and information event on 14 October at 4.30 p.m. in Lecture Hall 3A.

You are also invited to the first student council meeting of the winter semester, which will take place on 15 October at 6 p.m. in seminar rooms 3/4 of the Oeconomicum. Further information will be posted on Instagram [link].

Further general information about starting your studies can be found here. As always, all information will also be available on the student council website from calendar week 38 onwards.

The entire faculty looks forward to seeing you!
